Who is Mariela?

Mariela, born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico and lover of the simple things in life.

Growing up in a close family environment has give Mariela a strong upbringing, and she is keen to bring this into Etéreo Events to make the focus of the wedding celebrations about the family gathering together, cherished memories, simple touches and pure romance.

One of the biggest influences to Mariela's life is her Grandma, who taught her to sew, run a home and be creative. This started Mariela's love all things creative. She also looked after her other Grandma and her younger sister for a long time, and now she feels this is her time.

She spent a few months working at a big brand company but was utterly miserable and got low. She remembers the day a good friend took her to Barnes and Noble and she bought a stack of wedding books, and the love of weddings began.

Whilst Mariela loves weddings and her business, she is keen to find a real balance and preserve her mental health.

Mariela loves people and her favourite part of the wedding day is sending the bride down the aisle!

She wants people to feel connected and she wants her brand to be very emotive and personal. She is a very deep, empathetic person and wants this to shine through.
